Ecole des Neurosciences de Paris Ile-de-France / The Paris School of Neuroscience
BIO
Understanding the human brain is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. In the last decade neuroscientists have made constant and significant progress and we now better understand the physiological processes that underlie such diverse activities as learning, perception, vigilance, resistance to stress, decision making or human-computer interaction. The potential or existing applications of neuroscience are numerous, both in everyday life and in the field of neuropsychiatric disorders.
L'Ecole des Neurosciences de Paris Ile-de-France (ENP, The Paris School of Neuroscience), a scientific cooperation foundation created in 2007, brings together a network of 112 research teams in 22 labs, located in Paris and its area. The projects within the research teams of the ENP is to strengthen the links between molecular and cellular neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience on three priority areas: cerebral bases of cognition, development and adaptation of the brain, neurological and psychiatric disorders. The ENP leads or supports four major programs: training international students, establishing new research teams, welcoming professors and researchers of international reputation, organizing meetings and events.
