BIO

An engineer by training, Georges Jobard graduated from Sup'Aero (Toulouse). He began his career in Framatome’s nuclear heavy components production facilities. In 1992 he took over the management of Framatome’s subsidiary Clextral, before buying it through a LBO in 2001. He managed Clextral until 2014. Since then he has been a innovation and strategy consultant.

Mr. Jobard has served as a Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France (France’s Foreign Trade Advisor) since 1997. From 2001 to 2007 he was president of the Rhônes-Alpes section of Fédération des Industries Mécaniques (Federation of Mechanical Industries), as well as a national vice-president of the Federation, in charge of innovation and sustainable development from 2008 to 2013. Since 2009, he the chairman of the Endowment Fund for Industrial Innovation (Fonds de dotation pour l’innovation industrielle, F2i).
