Born in 1944, Claude Satinet graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Télécom ParisTech. He joined the Automobiles Citroën group in 1973. After holding various positions within the group, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Automobiles Citroën in 1994. In 1998 he took the general direction of Automobiles Citroën and became a member of PSA Peugeot Citroen’s Executive Directory, until 2007.
Since 2004 he is member of the Strategic Council for Information Technology, headed by the Prime Minister, and in June 2011 he became Chairman of AFNOR (Association française de Normalisation, the French national organization for standardization and its International Organization for Standardization member body). From 2006 to 2009, he has also been Chairman of Télécom ParisTech.
The automobile industry is over 100 years old and yet, it still isn't fully mature. While undergoing deep transformations from a technological and commercial point of view, it isn't clear who the winners and losers will be.
