Alok Bardiya currently leads Cisco’s venture investments and M&A for India and SAARC. Cisco is one of the largest corporate investors in India with investments ranging from early stage to pre-IPO ventures. In this role Alok and his team are responsible for building Cisco’s inorganic strategy and driving new investments as well as managing the existing portfolio (both direct investments and LP positions in Funds). Alok serves on several Boards including Servion, WSO2, Ineda, GTT, Covacsis and Mobikwik.

Alok Bardiya is a senior executive with over 18 years of experience with Fortune companies, both in the US and in India. He has led diverse functions including sales, marketing, product management and strategy. Prior to Cisco, Alok was a Vice President with Tata Communications and led their Managed Services and Industry Solutions businesses and the Marketing function. In the US, Alok worked as a Director with AT&T/BellSouth where he led product management for their enterprise data products and as a consultant with Bain & Co, a top management consulting firm.

He has also been an entrepreneur, co-founding a B2B e-commerce company in India which was later acquired by a public listed company.

Alok Bardiya holds a Bachelors degree in EE from IIT, Delhi and an MBA with Honors from Wharton Business School, USA.
